- Mammillaria carmenae “albiflora”, also known as Isla Carmen pincushion cactus, is a species native to eastern central Mexico.
- It has clustered globular stems that grow up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall and 6 inches (15 cm) wide. The stems are covered in soft white radial spines up to 5 mm long.
- Mammillaria carmenae blooms small pure white flowers in the spring.
- Easily clustering and easily flowered. Most plants will offset readily, and clumps can be produced in a few years.
- All of the plants will be shipped bare root.
LIGHT/SOIL/WATER
- Bright light, full sun to partial shade.
- Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch, then let drain completely. Reduce watering in the winter.
- Porous and well-drained cactus mix.
- Feed with a cacti fertilizer mix during the growing season.
- You can propagate Mammillaria carmenae albiflora by removing the offsets and let the wound callous over for a couple days then plant it in a new pot to let it root.
