- Formerly known as ‘Dark Red’, Tillandsia Houston ‘Red Princess’ has a deeper, much richer colored inflorescence than other forms of Houston. It is a hybrid between species Stricta and Recurvifolia, this same cross has also produced ‘Cotton Candy’, it is a fantastic hybrid of Tillandsia. It produces a giant pink inflorescence with lilac flowers when it blooms.
LIGHT/SOIL/WATER
- Tillandsia Houston ‘Red Princess’ likes bright, indirect light. Keep this plant away from direct sunlight as this will cause the plant to develop burn marks.
- No soil is needed. Sand, sea glass, rocks, pebbles & bark chips can be used instead of soil.
- Spray or dunk twice a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours. Soak monthly to rehydrate up to 4 hours as necessary.
