- Tillandsia Stellifera (Fishbone) is native to Peru, and grows on rock faces on elevations 2700- 3000 m. Tillandsia Stellifera is a fuzz air plant like Tectorum. This furry air plant is covered with a dense coat of trichromes to help it absorb water in its natural habitat. It is caulescent with short fuzzy leaves. Petals are violet, and white at the upper part of petal.
- All of the plants will be shipped bare root.
LIGHT/SOIL/WATER
- Strong indirect, filtered, and/or partial direct light
- No soil is needed. Sand, sea glass, rocks, pebbles & bark chips can be used instead of soil.
- Spray or dunk twice a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours. Soak monthly to rehydrate up to 4 hours as necessary.
